Dashboard
The Dashboard (the QMS Portal) is your personal home screen, and for most people it is where each day in the QMS begins. Rather than searching the system for what concerns you, you arrive at a single view that already shows the documents you must follow, the records that are yours, and the training you owe.
Everything on the Dashboard is filtered to you. What appears is derived from your role and the assignments made elsewhere in the system, the documents where you are part of the Target Audience, and the trainings generated when those documents are released, so nothing you are responsible for has to be hunted down and nothing quietly slips past you. Because the view is built from your assignments, a document or training you expect but do not see means you have not been assigned to it, rather than that it is missing from the system.
It is organised into three tabs, QMS Documents, My Records, and My Trainings, alongside a News panel.
QMS Documents
The effective documents assigned to you (your Target Audience documents list), grouped by category. Because only the effective version of each document appears, you are always working from the version currently in force, never a superseded one. Each row shows the document and its Document Type, with an action that depends on the type:
Open Version opens the effective document.
Create Document, shown for templates, starts a new document from that template.
My Records
Your records, split into two subtabs, QMS Records and Personal Records. A record can be published with Publish Record.
My Trainings
The trainings you are required to complete, summarised by Overdue, Due soon, Pending, and Completed cards, so you can see at a glance what is outstanding and what is close to lapsing.
The list shows each training's prefix, document version, category and type, assigned and due dates, days remaining, and status, with Complete and Open File actions. Depending on configuration, completion means either confirming that you have read and understood the document, or answering a questionnaire.
News
Items requiring your attention, shown in two parts: News (such as an overdue training) and In Last 7 Days (such as a document with an upcoming release, including when a new version takes effect and whether new training will be required).
