Version Overview
Each version inherits its shared attributes (name, access, and so on) from its master document, so a version is identified primarily by its number.
A version opens on its Document Version tab, with the version's own details under the Document Version metadata and the inherited Master Document fields, which are read only.
A Document Version File panel holds the read only Document Status and the Version File list, where the document file itself is held.
Name
Generated automatically and locked, in the form name + version, for example, Test12 V14 or Quality Management Manual V8.Document Status
Set automatically by the release process. Values include Draft, Approval Pending, Approved, Release Initiated, Effective, and Obsolete.Review Status A separate status, with values such as Reviewed.
The All Documents list shows every version with its QMS Category, Prefix, Document Version (the name), Version number, a Link to the File, Status, Review Status, Approval Status, and Working Status.
The list shows Active versions by default, and any row can be expanded to display the version's internal fields.
