Overview & List

A master document is the parent record for all of its versions. It holds the attributes that remain constant across versions, such as the name and the access settings, so they are defined only once.

The All QMS Master Documents list shows each master document with its QMS Category, Prefix, Master Document (the name), QMS Type, Working Status, Assignee, and Effective Document.

The list shows Active master documents by default. Any row can be expanded to display all of that document's versions, each with its Version number, Status, Working Status, Effective Date, and Last Review Date.

The list offers more than one view, selected from the view name at the top of the list:

• All QMS Master Documents
  The default view; read only, so records cannot be edited from the list.

• Edit QMS Master Documents
  Allows records to be edited directly in the list.

• QMS Master Documents Internal Fields
  Exposes the internal field columns.

Use Manage and share views in the same menu to organise the available views.
