Content Manager Access
The Content Manager lets you view and manage the dynamic content within your Word documents, Variables and References, without opening each file. Because the contents of a closed document are not otherwise visible, each item is also stored in the system for central management.
This content can be managed in two places:
On the Web
The Content Manager section, with a Variables / References toggle. The Variables view lists every variable (with its type and last updated date) and, when one is selected, the documents that use it; the References view shows referenced and referencing documents and their match status.
In Word, via the panel
When a document is opened in Word while signed in, the panel can be opened from the ribbon, allowing variables and references to be inserted directly.Changes made in Word are reflected in the system.
To open the panel in Word, select Content Manager in the ribbon (or select Add-ins and choose Content Manager from the list).
The Content Manager panel opens on the right, showing the organisation, a Show Labels (Tags) in Document option, and four tabs: Insert Variables, Variables, Insert References, and References. Each tab has a Load button, a search box, a type filter, and a Filter by Categories / Projects list.
